Markus and Andrea Steeb
Our main project is to translate the Old Testament into a minority language of former Indochina, which includes about 700,000 people (of which about 10% are evangelical Christians) who still do not have their own Bible. In addition, Andrea has another unreached minority group in focus, in whose villages we have distributed solar audio Bibles and read the Gospel in recent years.
…to respond to the call of Jesus and to follow HIM, putting our personal talents at His service according to His guidance. For Mark, it means being active in the linguistic field, both in translating the biblical texts and in reading the Scriptures aloud to minorities who do not know how to read. For Andrea, it meant caring for our five children and accompanying them in correspondence school.
…the various Bible words such as Col. 4:17: “Look to the ministry you have received in the Lord to fulfill it, “or 2 Tim. 4:5: “But be sober in all things, endure affliction, do the work of an evangelist, carry out your ministry.” Especially in the translation of the Old Testament, it is challenging to fulfill the whole commission.
