Nearly 200 co-workers gathered for this year’s conference – a precious time of fellowship. Nothing can replace meeting face to face, heart to heart. Shared worship, deep prayer, and inspiring messages shaped these days. In seminars and workshops, interest groups exchanged ideas and looked ahead together, shaping the future of Kontaktmission. These encounters strengthen our faith, our mission, and our teamwork.

We move forward encouraged and focused – thankful for all that God has done among us.

We are now in the second round of the Kontaktmission photo competition. Missionaries from all over the world had the opportunity to send in pictures of their work on our annual theme FOKUS. This time the winner is Werner Epp in Uruguay. And this is the story behind the picture:

‘It was a very special day on 31 October: when the whole world was celebrating Halloween, we set up ‘HAPPY WIN’, an alternative programme for the local children. On this day, we celebrated life and the joy that God gives us. With dressing up, a catwalk, karaoke, balloons, sweets and a small gift, it was an unforgettable moment.’

We are very grateful because we were able to close 2024 with a balanced budget and are very happy about all the supporters who had our work and, above all, our employees in different places around the world on their hearts. It’s nice to know that we are well cared for and that our work is supported.

I have been on a short-term assignment in Greece since September 2024 and am experiencing how valuable it is to meet local people every day. Whether in the children’s programme, in the care centre of a refugee home or on street missions – there are opportunities everywhere to live faith in a practical way and pass on hope.
It is particularly touching to see the plight of so many people. But I have learnt that real change happens through relationships. Listening, being there, praying with them – it’s often the little things that make the biggest difference. This mission broadened my perspective and showed me how important it is to be there for others. Maybe that would be something for you too?
